Workshop on Biomedical Waste Management Training in Delhi
Hazardous Substances Management Division (HSMD) of MoEF, Government of India, granted WaRM, CEE a project in June 2007, for imparting awareness and training on Biomedical Waste Management to 200 nursing homes and clinics in Delhi . The main objective of the project is to introduce the concept of “Sustainable Integrated Healthcare Waste Management Plan” in the healthcare establishments (HCEs), which will enable HCEs to conduct regular training programmes and provide guidance to the different categories of healthcare workers on the proper handling of biomedical waste generated in the HCEs and its safe source segregation, storage and handing over to common facility operators.
